By playing this game you are agreeing to the following terms:
I will not,
- Attempt or engage in scamming another player while playing this game.
- Sell (or attempt to sell) my game account for real or virtual currency or virtual items
- Sell (or attempt to sell) my game inventory for real currency.
- Share the access data to my account with anyone else
- Alter something within the game using a 3rd party program while playing this game.
- Take advantage of a bug or loophole while playing this game.
- Go against any other Code of Conducts I may pass while playing this game.
- Violate the right of others and their rights to play and enjoy playing the game. To this end, members may not defraud, harass, threaten, or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other players.
- Use sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive languages.
- Create, use or provide any server emulator or other sites where the game could be played other than from Web Sites. Metin2 provides or authorizes for a publication/distribution of the Service, and Members may not post or distribute any utilities, emulators or other software tools related to the game without the expressed written permission from Metin2.
- Attempt to interfere with, hack into, or decipher any transmission to or from the servers running the game.
If you are caught going against these terms, you will be dealt with appropriately by a staff member.
Game staff reserves the right to interpret these Rules in certain situations.
§1 Nick ingame
- Player, shop and horse names that are insulting, racist, drug related, radically right-wing, and/or vulgar, are forbidden.
§2 Behavior
(I) General
- The Internet is such an active environment that flame wars are bound to happen. It is therefore up to game staff to determine when a communication crosses the line into abusive.
- Please be friendly to other players and don’t insult them. Threatening and extorting other players is not permitted. Felt insults are not always insults, because it is differently understood by every player. The Metin-2 staff reserves the right to determine what is considered an insult on a case by case basis.
- Demanding other players to do anything against their will is against the rules and can result in account ban.
- Violate the right of others and their rights to play and enjoy playing of Metin-2 could result in punishment under this section.
- Attempt to impersonate other persons, including but not limited to, employees, representatives or hosts of Metin-2 is prohibited.
- Political extreme, racist, pornographic or otherwise illegal statements are forbidden in the game. (Racist, illegal, discriminatory or inappropriate names will lead to an immediate game ban.)
(II) Treatment of new players
- Please don’t laugh about beginners and don’t trick them because they don’t know much. We all were beginners! Help them!
(III) Spawn Camping
- If killed by a monster or by PvP, users have the option to "restart in town". As this is meant as a "safe haven" for them if the place in which they died isn't safe, it is prohibited to repeatedly kill users which are appearing in these "safe spots".
- It is NOT considered "Spawn Camping" if the user did not pick "restart in town" but resurrected in the spot they died instead, just to be killed again immediately.
§3 Chat in the Game
(I) Language
- The official languages in all the Metin2.cz services are Czech and English; this includes but is not limited to: Game Server, Board, and IRC official chat-rooms.
- Special reminder regarding that this includes: In-game personal messages, in-game guild pages, in-game guild applications and in-game call messages.
(II) Spamming
- Please don’t spam. That means the repeated sending of the same Message in the Call Chat and the Normal Chat in small distance is not permitted. The posting of links or hints that have nothing to do with Metin2 is also forbidden. It is also forbidden to ask other players for Cheats.
- If you repeatedly type non-sensical characters in call/local chat:

This would be considered as spamming call/local chat and a violation against the rules.
- Market, promote or advertise anything, or make any other form of solicitation on the Game or through its Web Site or Forum is forbidden.
- Use Metin-2 or its Forum for any activities other than those that are permitted within the Online-Game society is forbidden.
(III) Real life threats
- Implying that you are going to locate and harm another player, team member, Game Forge representative, or any person that might be related in any way to any of the game services is forbidden.
- Members may not defraud, harass, threaten, or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other players.
- Threatening/announcing to commit suicide or to run amok is prohibited. Any user found to be doing this will be banned from the game permanently and their local authorities be notified. There are no excuses for this kind of behaviour and any and all cases will be strictly dealt with as indicated, regardless if one has „been kidding“ or not.
§4 Bug using
- Bugs, loopholes, security flaws, or any inconsistencies in the game should be immediately reported in the GM Staff. The usage of such inconsistencies to gain an advantage over other users ("exploitation") is forbidden.
§5 Cheating
- Manipulating the Client in any way is strictly forbidden. Use of any software for Metin2 that is not created by GameForge4D is forbidden.
- Any piece of software, without human interaction or regard to the content displayed is banned. In other words, every click sent to the game servers must come from a live person, not an automated system.
- Any user who has been positively tested on cheat or bot usage will lose the access right to their account(s) permanently.
- In addition, offering cheats and bots through the ingame chat, shop names or any other means offered by the game will also result in the offender losing access to their account(s) permanently.
§6 Account data
(I) Account security
- Each player has to keep his account data secret. The Metin2 team will never ask you for account data or the password for your account.
- The account owner is responsible for their accounts actions at all times. This means that if anyone logs into your account such as a family member, you are held responsible. Keep your email. Account ID, and password secure. Do not give your login credentials to anyone else. This includes: Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Uncle, and your Aunt.
- No complaints will be processed in cases where it becomes apparent that users have shared their login credentials with others. Note that complaints will only be considered if they originate from the owner of a given accounts permanent email address. The Metin2 team will not replace lost items/characters or accounts. (Do NOT beg staff to return scammed, lost, or hacked items, violation of this may result in a ban.)
(II) Password scavenging
- Requesting other users share their passwords with you is illegal. Should you be found in violation of this rule, you will lose access to your game account(s) permanently.
(III) Account trading and the purchase/sale of game accounts and game items
- The sale and the purchase of game accounts for any kind of financial or material reward (this also includes virtual currency/game items) is prohibited.
- As it is prohibited to reveal your login information to anyone else (§6 (I)), trading your account is forbidden as well.
- The selling of game items for any kind of real currency or real world material reward is prohibited.
- Announcing your intent to trade, buy and/or sell an account is already considered a breach of this rule and will be dealt with accordingly.
(IV) Multi accounts
- Users are permitted to play Metin 2 using multiple accounts.
§7 GM Assistance
- GMs are not allowed to give items and money to other players. They won’t hold anything for you and they won’t help you with your character levels and also won’t spawn any monster. You shouldn’t trade GMs or invite them guild or party. You also shouldn’t ask for those things. Exceptions are possible with an Event.
§8 GM-Team
(I) GM Authority
- The instructions and decisions of the Metin2 team are to be respected.
- Official members of the Metin2-Team can be identified by their nickname. Each and every team member has a special team nick, consisting of their rank in brackets (ie. [GM]) and their actual name (ie. [GM]Abraxas). Valid ranks are: [TGM], [GM], [SGM], [LGM] and [CoMa].
- Do not go around one GM's decision to another GM, this will lead to exclusion from the game. If you are not happy with a GM's decision please contact the SGM or Lead GM. Offenses against the rules are punished by being kicked from the server, repeat offenses will result in you losing access to your game account(s) permanently.
(II) Staff harassment
- Any complaints against staff will be presented in a clear manner, free of any profanity or personal attacks. Slanderous/personal attacks/profane communications against staff members will not be tolerated, and will result in the offending comments removed, and a ban for the offender.
The game rules should be considered as addition to the Terms and Conditions.
